I hate how Wikipedia has so many links to other articles inside the article you're reading.
I went from Stella Adler to Method Acting to Sanford Meisner to ER to various ER actors' pages to Marg Helgenberger to IMDB.com (to find out what episode of ER Marg was in), realized I knew which episodes Marg was in (I seem to remember that she was Doug's father's girlfriend who then slept with Doug), and just now went back to the article on Stella Adler, and only just realized that I've been off-track for more than 30 minutes now.
On a somewhat related note, there is nothing on the internet about Stella Adler's acting theories. All most sites say is that she studied with Stanislavski, but her method was different from all the ones talked about. Grr. I'm going to get in trouble because I don't have enough material for a 5 minute presentation.
I must now go find paper so I can print out this info on her and the other topics so I can figure out what I'm going to say. And learn 25-someodd spanish words. And finish my history work.
I seriously think I'm getting stupider. No kidding. I used to be really smart. Now my homework and stuff is taking me longer and longer (and not just because it's getting harder, even the easy stuff is taking me an inordinate amount of time). I'm really hoping that it's just my ADD getting worse and not me losing brain cells for some reason. Though I thought it was supposed to get better, not worse as you got older.
And as (25 minutes later) I'm still not doing anything productive, here's a chemistry joke: Two hydrogen atoms walk into a bar. One says, "I think I've lost an electron." The other says, "Are you sure?" The first replies "Yes, I'm positive..."

Date: 2006-08-28 08:03 pm (UTC)It is indeed a fun game. Just not less than 4 hours before the thingie you're doing research for is due.
It wasn't all that big a leap, either...
Now that is interesting. And a little scary.
