Spoilers (if written vaguely at least at the beginning) for "Lauren", Paget Brewster/Emily Prentiss' last Criminal Minds episode.

I was content to have one last dose of JJ/Emily in this episode. I mean, beyond content, really, as I didn't even know JJ was coming back, so that was a ridiculously pleasant surprise.

I could never have expected it to be this brillllllllliant. Despite all the Emily het (I've been strongly in the Prentiss-is-at-least-bi camp for years), there was so much more than I expected (even without considering that I expected zero) and it was fabulous:
JJ bring brought in as someone who can "shed some light on Emily's past" and all the <3 <3 and then JJ being the point person at the hospital (like a family member would be) and then JJ'S FACE when she was hugging Reid and then being the first person (and longest shot) laying down the rose and my heart was so happy.

AND THEN THE VERY ENDING. I'd called that that was how they were going to play her departure a few episodes back, BUT JJ'S ROLE OH MY GOD. I literally threw both arms up in the air and just said "IS THIS REALLY HAPPENING" over and over again.
.

PLEASE FEMSLASH GODS by which I obviously mean authors MAKE THE MOST OF THIS AWESOME OPPORTUNITY THAT HAS BEEN AFFORDED YOU. I MEAN JESUS, JJ IS THE ONLY PERSON WHO KNOWS EMILY IS ALIVE.

I want
  • Drama and romance and concern and Emily sneakily sending JJ's kid presents even when she can't talk to JJ, just to let her know that she's still alive.

  • Sekrit rendezvous in romantic places (with disguises!) where they plot to finally take down all the bad guys so Emily can stop running all the time,

  • but also talk (news about the team, about ~feelings, etc.) because JJ is the one person who knows pretty much everything

  • except for that Emily was in love with her and pulled away when JJ got pregnant because of le jealousy, which Emily finally reveals because she feels safe seeing as how she's going to run away to another country the next day.

  • Emily not showing up to the next scheduled meeting after that because she's a wimp, and JJ flipping out but not wanting to actively look for her lest it tip people off, so just freaking out in silence

  • Awkwardness when they finally meet up the next time and only business talk until JJ puts her hand over Emily's and the Magic Power of Affection fixes things so we return to our Regularly Scheduled Development of Sexual Tension: Now With Confirmed Reciprocation!

  • A final meeting where there's no time to even acknowledge the sexual tension that's been building up over the past year before turning around and being BAMFs and shooting folk.

  • Them winning and dramatic, post-violence, shaky "it's over" relief kisses.

AND THEN AN AWESOME SEQUEL because this is always what I really want in fics: How do they deal with what comes next, when they go back to "real life"?
  • Emily is pretty much a cat lady; does she remember how to have a relationship that's not for spyage purposes?

  • Contrast between her loving the Doyle kid but not wanting to help raise him (as that would cement her fake relationship with Ian) and her behavior with JJ's kid.

  • Does Em go back to work somewhere?

  • How cool is JJ's job with the fact that she just went AWOL to help Emily shoot bitches?

  • How does Emily deal with the fact that despite all her obvious enemies being gone, she could be exposing JJ and the kid to all kinds of danger because of her past?

  • JJ isn't really a fighter type (IIRC, she wasn't even a field agent for ages); is there fallout from having to help Emily kill bitches? Or does she not really react to it, and is disconcerted because of that?

Basically, part one is mandatory, the sequel is more an excuse to work in the sexing, since part one is plotting itself out pretty PG-13 in my head.

I SO WISH I COULD WRITE THIS but I know I'll get about two pages in and school will pick up and I'll never be able to get back into the swing of it, so I really hope the femslash fandom gestalt sort of picks up on how cool it could be to tack a spy thriller on to the end of this episode and makes it happen.

In regards to Morgana in Merlin season 3.

TL;DR rant. )

Everybody's spent the entire show keeping secrets from her, from what her own nightmares really mean, to who her real father is, and finally, at the end of s3, to the fact that Gwen is destined to marry Arthur and be queen. I think she's so far detached from reality, thanks to Morgause's Awesome Brainwashing™ and the visions themselves being rather crazifying, that she's managed to miss that she can't really take Gwen's love for granted anymore. It's just been something so constant for her entire life at Camelot that it's beyond the realm of consideration that someone else would have captured Gwen's attention right out from under her (take that shippily or not).

And yet, it's gone.

Begin Super Special Season Ending Battle of Terror and Awesome and Destruction™, but even then, she has to give Gwen one last chance. Despite how she acted, I think Morgana was seriously really (if deludedly) hoping that Gwen would be all "No, Morgie, I'm totes on your side! Best Girlfriends Forever means Best Girlfriends Forever!".

Enter the picture that sums up my head canon for what was the final straw in the Morgana Is Actually Really Evil For Realsies Now game, which inspired this random rant.

So, somebody prompted The reason why Mycroft and Sherlock don't get along is because, when he was desperate to quit cocaine/heroin (not sure what's the usual canon drug here) and asked Mycroft for help, all his brother did was lock him in a clinic and not bother to visit or call for months, even though Sherlock often tried to reach him on the kinkmeme.

I was going to comment with this, just noting how interested I was in her prompt because my head!canon is almost the exact opposite, but then it got long and idk if it even makes sense because it's almost past 5am, and whatever I can get between now and 7:30 is all I anticipate sleeping in the next 30 hours so I can't be arsed to look at it any more to make it more clear.

But basically, this is an idea I've had for a really long time, and something I'd like to write into a stand-alone fic/work into an existing in-progress fic/something at some point for BBC Sherlock, because it all really makes sense to me to explain the Mycroft/Sherlock feud and how lopsided it is (Mycroft is genuinely concerned; Sherlock won't even text him back). Sure, it might all be explained away by the sheer resentment you would expect with a brain-driven younger sibling whose older brother is better at people, and being accepted into society, and not becoming addicted to things like a common junkie, and even brainwork (which would be the real insult), but my head!canon likes to combine Sherlock getting clean-but-not-really with their rocky relationship.

Sometimes, you may really need help, and once you're past whatever, you don't really want to go back to the way things were, but being forced into treatment/getting help/whatever when you weren't ready, when it wasn't your decision can cause this resentment to build up for the person who did the forcing. It's fed by the misery/withdrawal/horribleness of the early days of treatment because you're sure things wouldn't be this bad if you were still in the throes of it, and it's allowed to fester over weeks of forced therapy and being treated like a child or a convict with rules and restrictions and no trust whatsoever. You come out of the other side healthier and possibly happier and on top of everything you owe that person your life because they saved it when you didn't want to be saved, and even though you may acknowledge that you're better off now, you fixate on how it should have been your choice and sometimes there's no salvaging that relationship.

Sherlock knew he needed to get clean if only for the work, because otherwise he wouldn't be able to take on police cases. Once he was, he stayed clean (even though his flat isn't--it's both a test of his own willpower and because to be honest, he doesn't really care that much if he goes back under), but he could have done it himself. Now, instead of getting to prove that to himself, he's spent ages in withdrawal and being treated like a child and patronized by two-bit counselors with a certificate from a semester of night school, and it's all Mycroft's fault.

For someone like Sherlock whose self-determinacy is such an important facet of his character, being forced into rehab (and we know God Mycroft could do it, not by brotherly influence but by tugging on the appropriate strings) would be an egregious affront to his person. I don't think they've ever had a particularly great relationship because of aforementioned general resentment from the "Mycroft is smarter/better/more social/nicer/not a junkie/did I mention smarter" type of thing, but Mycroft forcing Sherlock into rehab was the straw that broke the camel's back. They may couch it in cute sibling-ness like "arch-enemy" and little passive-aggressive things like not returning phone calls, and they're not bursting out into shouting fits because they've had a few years to calm down, but my head!canon has much of the underlying resentment (especially considering the shape of the dynamic we saw, with Mycroft's sincere caring about his brother and Sherlock rebuffing it) coming from this type of situation.

Discovered the band You Me At Six randomly while waiting for "Fever" to premiere on another New Zealand radio station less than 12 hours ago. The lyrics of the song I heard didn't wow me (few songs do, though), but I liked their sound, so I googled around a bit and found "Contagious Chemistry".

Already a) it has become my new favorite song and b) I've mentally planned out swaths of a Sherlock/Moriarty fanvid to it and am just itching for a minute to start actually playing with it.  The problem is that I'm so limited in material--Moriarty was in what, 10 minutes of the last episode--that it's going to have to be very talking-heads, but I'll get over it, because JFC THE SONG IS SO PERFECT.

Have some lyrics:
If I could have a minute please
Then I'll bring you to your knees
This contagious chemistry is killing me

Oh, you'll never disappear
Until I give permission, dear
'Cause you're always gonna
Always be knee deep
--so, right, you're seeing it already, yeah, with how they're going to be the ones to kill each other?

And then more lines like //You're not a name, you're just a face// (like how Moriarty is the name that "isn't spoken" except it apparently really is all the time but whatevs), and then //This love is dirtier than you think// which is soooo true because this is all about kinky hatesex and ruining each other and lots of choking.

AND THEN MY FAVORITE BIT, and the part that illustrated itself in my mind most clearly with material I know I have to work with from the show (because that's the problem--when it starts illustrating itself in my head, I get all these ideas about cool things I want to do like zoom in on the camera spinning around them locked in this draw of gunpointing, etc. etc. but though the gunpointing and stuff happened, the camera didn't do that, so I'm SOL).
No, oh, who did you think I was, him?
No, oh, is he the only lead you were working on?
No, oh, and you were caught with the best, yeah?
The moment when John comes out and we think he's Moriarty, and then when Jim comes out and is all "Pshhh, you're a stupid bietch.  He's a stupid bietch.  That is this so. much.

This isn't me de-OTPing Sherlock/John, though. Sherlock/Moriarty is a twisted, nasty, non-con relationship in my head, so I don't count it as shipping? Idk.

Anyway, really really excited, and want to move on to a new project, but I feel like I have to finish fixing my Lambliff vid (there are aspect ratio not matching problems--I think I could just leave it as is, but I've spent too much time on it overall to have what I thought was an easily fixable inconsistency decrease the quality of it) before I can start this, or I won't ever finish the one I played with most of the summer.

So yes.  Not doing anything really tonight (though I woke up at like 2am this morning, so idk how much time I've got before I pass out from tired), so maybe will put some time into fixing my Lambliff vid, and then we can start on thissss.  (Seriously, so excited.)

Convos I've been having with folks on Omegle during our [livejournal.com profile] ontd_startrek flashmob-esque GQMFifying of the site.

If you've never used Omegle, basically you get randomly paired up with a fellow chatter. It's totally anonymous, and 90% of the time the other person asks you stupid shit like a/s/l and to show your breasticles on webcam or some bs, but I've been having a lot of fun with it. Usually they get weirded out and just disconnect:

You're now chatting with a random stranger. Say hi!
Stranger: hey
Stranger: whats up???
You: Fun will now commence.
Stranger: ok...
You: Hi, Christopher. I'm Nero.
Your conversational partner has disconnected.

But not always:
This one's NSFW )

I did a bunch of them where I just quoted Voyager episodes to try and get somebody to play along (the semi-object is also to find a fellow [livejournal.com profile] ontd_startreker):

You're now chatting with a random stranger. Say hi!
Stranger: m or f?
You: Naomi Wildman, subunit of Ensign Samantha Wildman. State your intentions.
Stranger: ummm sex... :(
You: Very well. You leave me no choice but to report your activities to the Captain.
Stranger: o damn please dont
You: Explain.
Stranger: ur mothers penis?
Your conversational partner has disconnected.

But I actually played Seven of Nine for a while with this guy (whom I cast as B'Elanna Torres, natch). This one was kind of funny--I started out as Seven during "Infinite Regress", where she's going through all the different personalities, but that gave way to his B'Elanna subplot wherein she is insubordinate and steals a shuttle. Mostly it's me feeding stuff to him and little responses, as you would expect from someone who has no idea what you're doing, but his last line is almost as epic as my geekprov skills: )

Another rather bullshitty one with someone who wouldn't play )

I don't know what the first question of this one was about, but this person played with me quite well. I was pleased.
TOS battleish scene. )

And then this motherloving epic of awesomeness. I may have to make this into a fic, because I spent way too damn much time Spocking it out over here to just waste all this writing. (Fic!Kirk will be much less reticent, naturally. Chatter!Kirk did not want to get all down with the gay.) But I ask you, "Ron"? I say "Vulcan", "Doctor McCoy", "Starfleet" and am calling you James T. Kirk and you call me Ron? For serious? I'd chalk the continuance up to consistency, as he did call me Ron before I gave quite as explicit of clues as to what I was doing, but I think everybody would switch to Spock once I made it this bloody clear. And some of his comments don't really seem to fit, like he didn't quite grasp the Star Trekness still.

Kirk/Spock 4 page epic chat )

Still, he played with me for a *looong* time, which was lolarious. Still haven't met any legit GQMFs from the comm, though. Was planning on keeping trying, but atm my hips are being random bitches and really *really* painful, so I've got to go. . . idk, curl up in bed and try to find a position in which they do not ache like whoa. [livejournal.com profile] ontd_startrekers, I love you all.

"It is not those who are healthy who need a physician, but those who are sick." Matthew 9:12

Umm, duh? I hope that's a misquote or something, because otherwise I can't get it to make sense. I do want to incorperate it into some deep, introspective, character study type of House fic, though.

On a completely unrelated note (I forgot that I had jotted down the above in here earlier to remember), I HAS PRESENT. For [livejournal.com profile] bleakone. And because I needed an excuse to reinstall Photoshop on this machine. Happy sort of half birthday (I started it on the day, therefore it totally counts; also, it's still the 4th in parts of the continental US even, so I win). I'm also not mentioning it, because I want to see how long it takes/if you find it, just for fun. Because it's more of a surprise that way.

It's more colorweird than I would like, but considering I pulled it off of Youtube, I think I managed to fix up the quality of the colors and such pretty nicely, comparatively speaking. Because Youtube rippers evidently are epic fail. My amazing lip-reading skills to the rescue, though; somehow when I was saving it and converting it around between file formats a few times (I had a video-to-gif thing I wanted to try, but it turns out it watermarks it all up, so I went back to the brute force screencapping + photoshop way making it turn out that any and all converting was unnecessary), the audio got ripped off of the clip, so I had to find the spot by watching Jared's mouth.

Anyway. It's uploaded in my scrapbook on here, so you should be able to pull it off to put it in your userpics, should you so desire (and I hope so, as I'd feel sort of odd using it myself since it's not one of my fandoms. Yet).

Voila!

"I'm a PC and I'm seven years old." Seriously? That commercial just sort of makes me laugh. I mean, the point is that the photo merging stuff is so easy a caveman 7 year old could do it. And I spent the last two days working on [livejournal.com profile] bleakone's computer using residual DOS skills from when I was that age. That shit is hard--you've got to memorize the commands or be constantly looking everything up, phrase everything in the right syntax, there's no pretty visual interface, etc. Kids these days have it easy.

I still haven't seen that PC commercial with who I swear is Ianto again. Anybody know when Torchwood is coming back? I can't seem to find any info on that.

Watching this week's BSG without having watched the last yet, which doesn't make me happy but it's either watch this one now and watch last week's later online or watch them both in order online, the latter using up huge amounts of my weekly bandwidth. Random thought--if the Tighs are more or less Adam and Eve of the Cylons, does that make Saul Tigh/Caprica Six the new crazy space incest? But aww, I <3 Bill and Saul. You don't quite slash them as in. . . sex (LOLOL, Kaylee) because they're kinda oldandgross, but they're definitely sort of an intimate bromance OTP. Vaguely like Xena and Gabrielle minus the subtext.

Psych was ehh. Enjoyable, but I'm not running to my computer to download it to watch again. And the new Dollhouse right before (another one of which I watched one episode before the one preceding it) was also ehh. Killer fun for Eliza Dushku to play, but that seems to be entirely what it is--an excuse for her to play a different fun character every week. But Mark Sheppard, seriously, that man is in every show that I watch. Dollhouse, Burn Notice (which I don't really watch on purpose unless there's going to be someone I like on it, but caught his episode of), Battlestar Galactica, NCIS, In Plain Sight, Shark, Bionic Woman, Medium, and of course Firefly, with either reoccurring or big parts on each one.

Because this is looking to be an entirely TV-based post instead of me talking about my ADVENTURE OF DOOM AND DEATH on Tuesday and other such RL activities (I've been postponing writing that up because it's going to be a long one), I might have to start watching How I Met Your Mother after showing my mom Dr. Horrible over the long weekend and rewatching part of Neil Patrick Harris's SNL that I recorded on my laptop (while trying to find out WTF this gigantic, oddly named file on my computer was) because I think I love him crazy much.

Oh, Monday's House? THE CAMERON/CUDDY, I THANKS YOU FOR IT. Seriously. Got to download that one and icon it, because those shots at the end totally could be taken out of context (as per how we slashers work) to look like them holding their baby. Reminds me of a set of fics I started writing pre-first hard drive crashdown--it was some "5 Ways Cuddy Doesn't Have a Baby (And One She Does)" thing, remember when that was going around? Most of them were more Cuddy character study, one without Cameron at all, one with her only playing a supporting (supportive, actually) role, but the "one she does" was clear femslash. I wish I still had those, as I seem to remember kinda liking them--the "does" one was kinda unbelievably fluffy, but then I think it kept getting longer and started developing more plot and then naturally, it never got finished (as that's what happens to fics I don't write all in one sitting).

I also forgot. Criminal Minds. The gay is abounding. Surely it can't be just me after the scene at the beginning of 4.14 (I think two weeks ago?) where Emily's horoscope says the moon was going to screw things up romantically and put her in a shitty mood and then we see JJ's baby ring and cut immediately back to Emily's pissed off face after it's revealed that the father of the baby has a matching one.

Clicked on a featured story on the Yahoo home page (one of the mini!featured stories listed in little links under the real featured one, actually; "Designer brings pajamas to the street" below "$43,000 suit sells well during recession"). And the tab that popped up (I haven't opened it yet) says "Yamamoto brings sleepwear onto t. . . " and whatever after that. Presumably Yamamoto is the aforementioned designer. And all I could think of was "but we killed Yamamoto!" LOLOL, West Wing geekage.

Finally got around to watching all of the Face of the Enemy BSG webisodes. The Gaeta plot twist in last night's episode makes more sense now, though I'm going to watch the webisodes again because I was (as per usual) sort of half paying attention and thus wasn't clear on the whole Gaeta/Sharon/people on the planet deal.

Let's see, what else. Umm, pissed that I'm not home this weekend, because it's the weekend of the open call for extras for Clooney's On the Air that's filming in the STL. To add insult to injury, the open call's at the mall that's all of a 10 minute walk from my house. And I can't just fill out the form and send it in because they need a picture as well, and I don't have a color printer here. May try to make the family do it for me and just drop it by the casting office (right down the road from aforementioned mall) once I pick out a picture (I don't have any recent ones that make me look oldish, which I have the feeling is what they're looking for), but first I've got to figure out the answers--I spend most of my time in t-shirts and workout pants now, both because of the comfort factor and the way my weight keeps bouncing around, so I've got very little idea on my clothes' sizes, and absolutely none on a dress size (especially because I'm still quite busty, so though I'm okay in pants and shirts because I can size them individually, I might have to go up one or two from the size for the rest of my body to find a dress that'll fit my chest).

CDC's sexually transmitted infections report came out a bit ago. Still not ever going to have sex in St. Louis, kthx: #1 again in gonorrhea and chlamydia. Umm. . . at least we're not the most dangerous anymore? Though LOL, I suppose that depends on how you define "danger".

Heard some people talking at brunch this morning (meaning, erm, yesterday morning) about the inauguration (a word which I still cannot spell--I leave out the first 'u' every time) music being taped. I think they misinterpreted the story, though--thinking, I believe, of the story with the little girls in China where one sang the anthem and another lip-synched it because the first wasn't attractive enough. This is Yo Yo Ma, Itzhak Perlman, Anthony McGill, and some pianist whose name I didn't recognize but is undoubtedly of the same caliber. There is no one else who could stand behind them and play that music while they waved their bows/fingers. It was still them, just prerecorded.

And still. Have you ever tried to play in the cold? I have, fairly often with Fiddlers. Think about how your fingers feel when they're exposed in the winter. Stiff and painful, no? Now add to that your instrument gumming up in much the same way and bitter wind blowing around while you're trying to pull a light wood-and-horse-hair bow in a smooth line across a very narrow target that will produce the optimum sound. From what Yo Yo Ma says, that's SOP for these events--they did it at Bush's goodbye thing a few days ago as well.

Oh, and so I don't forget. Was in Dillon's (grocery store down here, part of the Kroger chain, none of which we have in St. Louis) and picked up a Star Trek Magazine issue to flip through. At the end of Nana Visitor's interview, she says something about how cool it would have been to have there have been (wow--spend too long looking at those last few words and you'll really get confused) a switch between Kira and Intendant Kira that nobody knew about, so at the end, you've got everybody running off in different places leaving her in charge, and imagine all of the mischief she could have gotten up to with Ro Laren. Now I really want to write that, maybe tying it in with the Annika overthrowing her in the Dark Passions books (as the impetus for her semi-permanent defection to our realm), but I'd have to watch the 7th season again--I haven't seen most of the whole plotty section of DS9 with the war and all, just knowing it through fanon and the semi-canon of the novels. Still. Would be great.
fenrisranger: (Default)
I just realized that I started writing Cuddy/Jessica Devlin (from Shark) fic at some point. I wonder where that went? Was thinking about it because evidently in my websurfing-while-listening-to-the-showage, I missed Hudson Leick in one of the episodes (2.13--Bar Fight). Which I want to now go and rewatch, but evidently CBS only keeps the last episode or two up on their watch online thing and I don't care enough to (re?)download it for the little part she must have (if it was bigger, methinks I would have noticed). So I started thinking about how I'm going to miss that show (because I am--came for Jeri Ryan, stayed for James Woods; I totally loved the whole show), and wondering if there was any fic for it (though there's not really anybody to pair up, unfortunately--it didn't run long enough to get any of that really going save some established stuff between one of the mini!lawyers and their detective helper and the loverly wittytastic banter between Jessica and Stark), and then went "Wait. I've got fic for it!" Except not, as I only ever got a titchy bit of something done, and I'm pretty sure it had to do with/was inspired by a particular episode, and figuring out which episode that was to rewatch it and hopefully pick up on my train of thought is going to be difficult. Still, hurrah for remembering things.

I have been knitting a hat. Sort of making it up as I go along, though. It's in this pretty yarn I got for free, though--all multicolored, though it sort of ends up all together purpleish if you look at it like a blur. I stopped, though, because I can't decide what to do next, whether to put in another little stitch-stripe thing or not.

This is big for me, though, as usually I just knit with no destination in mind, and more often than not just experiment and then rip it all out and play with the same yarn again (resulting in the outermost bunch on the ball of most of my yarns being all sort of untwistedlike). Though sometimes I turn what I've made into something (I've got a really pretty purse type thing I made with just plain knit stitch something like 3 or 4 years ago that I should take a picture of sometime), usually not. So I hope this works. (Though I think it may be too small for my head, as my needles aren't long enough to carry that many stitches, so I may end up giving it to my sister.)

ANDANDAND I found this "Where In Time is Carmen Sandiego" book from ages and ages ago in my basement. It's sort of a choose your own adventure type thing, but it's bits hard to play without the cards from the middle of the book that got ripped out and lost ages and ages ago, because you have to use the descriptions of the suspects that the people you talk to give you to pick the right person who stole whatever (because it's not always Carmen, as she has bitches to do whatever she doesn't want to do), and the dossiers of her V.I.L.E. Henchmen (I can't believe I remembered that that's what they're called) are on the cards. Still. CARMEN.

I had this Carmen Sandiego plotbunny a while ago that just popped back into my head. It was Carmen Sandiego/Jean Grey (from X-Men), and Carmen stole all the X-Men's powers, so Jean has to sex her to get her all vulnerable so she can steal them back. Because you know how in the show/games/books they always steal impossible stuff? It's like that. I think I must write that. I'll prolly have to enlist Katie in the caper, though, because she knows the X-Men universe, and though this isn't going to be close to/rely on/even look like it's ever gotten near canon, it's going to have to take place more or less in the X-Menverse, and I only remember about 1/3 of what she tells me about it and the people therein.

AND LJ COMMENTS ARE STILL GOING INTO MY INBOX SOMETIMES AND IT IS LE FRUSTRATING.

Edit: There is a raccoon or sommat on my freaking roof. It just bounced really hard on it. I shake my fist at you, random mammal, as you are loud and startling.

So, I've been rereading all the Harry Potter books in order again in preparation for the last one. (On a side note, it's surely impressive on JKR's part that I can reread these after having read them literally a dozen times each and still laugh at the funny bits.) I started Thursday, just reading them before bed, and I'm 2/3 through Prisoner of Azkaban now, and I came up with a fic this afternoon, while reading it. Hermione/Hermione timeturner secks. I had the logistics of it all planned out in my head, when you'd have to turn it to meet yourself after knowing what you were planning on doing, and how it would be this endless loop of time twisting (I get off on temporal theory), and I come to the computer tonight to check my email, and I happen to search for fic, just randomly, and what do I find on a page of recs, but this exact fic. Ahh, the wonders of the collective brain of fandom.

I don't like the new Internet Explorer version thing. With the tabs and all. Everything's in different places. Not cool. It's only on the new laptop, though, (which is almost out of battery and as such I'm going to have to get off in like 5 minutes) so that's good. It's not being all dumb on the real computer.

My calculus teacher is a whore. I made plans to make up part of a test that I missed on Thursday after school. Wednesday during class she tells me that I have to take it right then. And she won't let me look over my notes first. I was planning to do so before I took the test because I knew I didn't know the derivative formula things for several kinds of problems. And I try to get my notes out to look over them when she tells me that I've got to take it and she looks at me like 'hurry the hell up' and is standing by the door to make me go into another classroom and tells me that I need to go take it now. So there were at least 9 of them that I totally missed because I had no idea how to do them. Out of not that many. So basically, there's no chance of me getting anything higher than a C- on that part of the test. Because she's a whore. I could have remembered the formulas really easily after just glancing over them, but she wouldn't let me. Grr.

I have to use the line "I've seen sinking ships go down with more finesse than he/she did." in a story. Because I saw something like it on an icon and it is so perfect.

Got lots of work to do still. I haven't been doing anything lately because I just can't make myself do it. I just don't care. That's bad.

Wrote this yesterday, but internet still wasn't working, so posting it now.

House episode on Tuesday? (3.04 "Lines in the Sand") One of the best in a while, IMO. Mostly because of all the slashy goodness.

Loads of random comments in mostly chronological order. )

In the words of the amazing Pauley Perrette, "Do not list stuff. You're gonna forget something." I've chosen to take that risk, however. What you see before you is a list--though undoubtedly incomplete--of my fandoms and pairings. (New: Now in alphabetical order!) I tend to rotate through which fandom is my current obsession, so some of these I read much less than others (some not at all), but I still ship everybody on the list. Pairings are generally in the order of most preferred first. Assume that though a 'verse may be only under one heading, I ship it in every other incarnation as well (i.e., Jeeves and Wooster being under TV though I also love the books and Sherlock Holmes under books when I love it in any way/shape/form).

Updated 22 May 2010. Trimmed some shows I don't keep up with, some fandoms I never really shipped but passively and haven't seen in ages, and added some pairings (as usual), notably the comics section and River/Amy in Doctor Who.

29 September 2010. Lots more trimming; added BBC Sherlock, Glamdom RPS Adam/Tommy, some overlooked BSG pairings, and Merlin, because I'm apparently a forgetful moron.
