Girl on CSI: Miami right now (name's Allison) looks a little like Lisa Edelstein. Mostly just the hair color and style and eyes and makeup. They were just talking about something about her having must have moved the body of some guy who wasn't her husband after he died because supposedly his arm was in her face during the night. And the lividity was set in a different position than what he was in when she called the police, so she's all suspected and such. I'm not really paying attention, though, I just left it on after the football game. Thought I would share.

Ooh, she's on again. Really does look like her from the front. Not from the side, as the chin's wrong, but she's all with the Lisa Edelstein resemblance going on.

Random line that just was said that made me laugh:
Some random CSI guy: Would that amount of alcohol impede his sexual performance?
Alexx: Oh, honey, that amount of alcohol would impede an elephant's sexual performance.

Oh, and I forgot to mention that we sold our big blue van. I loved that baby, but we got more money than my dad was expecting, so that was nice. Still, I'm going to miss it. The new one is a lot smaller and doesn't drive as smoothly.

Does it seem to anybody else like they're going to make that TV reporter on ER become Kerry's new Kim/Sandy? From the very first time she came on the show and was like "Who was that?" about Kerry, my femslashdar was pinging, but now since Kerry decided to do the TV bits even though that seems like something she would never do and was originally very against, I'm thinking we're moving into the realm of canon. Good. We haven't seen Henry in a long time also, point of fact. Abby's baby Joseph and Henry need to meet. That would be cute. Because Kerry/Abby has grown on me since season 9 or so. With the whole Abby helping her through the miscarriage thing and then Abby holding Kerry as she cried after Sandy died and Abby agreeing to take Henry if something happened to Kerry during her surgery and Kerry being up there when Abby was in OB and Joseph was in the NICU for them thing. They've got a nice friendship, IMO, one that nobody really would have seen coming. I know my mom still hates Kerry because she was such a bitch in the earlier seasons, but her character was so one-dimensional when she was just a guest star and since it's gotten fleshed out, she's become more and more of a human, a character that I actually really like.

And what's with Pratt going to talk to Kerry in the previews for this week? It seemed like "Hey, my brother's gay, so let's go talk to the resident lesbian on the show for advice." But this is not to be the first time, I belive, that we've seen that Pratt has had homophobia problems, which makes me think a bit that he's on the down low or denying his sexy mandreams or something.

Edit: Oh, and I totally missed the scene with the reporter in it in the last episode. Just watched the 2 minute replay (as for some reason the entire episode isn't up) and it was the first big scene in the replay, which makes it seem like it's going to be really important in the future. No doubt in my mind now. They're getting together. "A glass of wine and a hot bath." "Sounds good to me." Like it was an invitation. No, Kerry isn't inviting you to share her bathtub. Yet. Maybe next week.

And so that's my story about ER femslash (that I wrote while I'm not starting my english paper over again because my thesis was too deep for the teacher and instead of proving specific things, I need to just talk about how O'Connor uses religion in her stories or how the "moments of grace" differ between stories. Dumb, general, too broad stuff. And though we only have to have the first part read by next Monday, we've got to have an excerpt picked from Sula by tomorrow that we can talk about and tie in the rest of the story to. Which makes no sense, as we've then got to have read the entire thing to find a passage that has enough stuff to talk about and can be connected well to the entire book. And first presentations start in less than a week.)

Just watched the Order of the Phoenix trailer.

Harry's new haircut looks horrible.

But I'm pretty excited because of all the promise of Snarry in the occlumancy lessons scenes and the fact that there's a split-second shot of some girl casting a spell really bigly (you know, arms up and all dramatic) that I'm pretty sure is supposed to be Bellatrix and she is crazy hot. (Oh, I forgot that it was going to be Helena Bonham Carter. I've never thought she was that good looking, but they've made her up well for that scene. Jeeze, her, Emma Thompson as Trelawney, Kenneth Branagh as Lockhart in the second movie, they've got the entire love triangle in the Harry Potter movies.)

Luna is cute, though not what I expected her to look like.

Check out the first two character names in this lineup shot. Slightly Creepy Boy and Somewhat Doubtful Boy. I want to be cast in a movie as Slightly Creepy Boy. That's so cool. I mean, of course it would be cooler if you were Bellatrix or something, but Slightly Creepy Boy is awesome.

The Umbridge looks too nice. It needed to be the woman from Blackadder, Patsy Byrne. She's got the high nasty voice and everything. I can't see the lady they've got forcing Harry to write with a quill that cuts the words into his own hand at all, at least not from the pictures they've got up.

From the picture of the scene where Umbridge is kicking out Trelawney, I can already say that that isn't staged like I would do it. I don't think it's even set in the right place; wasn't the scene actually in the great hall?

Anyway. Yay for Harry Potter. Yay for me still not doing my paper.

LOL at "The Wilson House". It's the birthplace of the guy who co-founded Alcoholics Anonymous that's now supposed to be "a living memorial [sic] a place where people can come to visit and give thanks to God for their new lives and to give thanks for God working through Bill to give them the Twelve Steps, Twelve Traditions, and the fellowship of the Program."

Still. The website is www.wilsonhouse.org. That's worth a laugh.

My dad made some good pumpkin bread today, though it's a bit too sweet. Still, it's got like no sugar in it because he used Splenda instead and applesauce instead of oil, so it's got very few calories in it. Which is good.

And he bought me some dark chocolate, so that's nice. Because I had a coupon for a free bar of Hershey's dark chocolate and I asked him to pick it up for me but they didn't have any, so he bought me Dove dark chocolate. Which is very different from the really good kind that I got addicted to dark chocolate through, but it's good.

My bedroom/bed was really cold last night, though, so I had a really hard time going to sleep and then I kept waking up during the night. Ended up taking a really long nap today, but I'm still sort of tired as I didn't sleep well during the day either. Kinda odd. I wonder why. Though it doesn't really matter if I'm up late tonight (though I'll be miserable during school tomorrow and have to take a spanish quiz and a history test over things that the teacher, as usual, hasn't really at all taught when I'm tired) as I don't have to stay after and it's the last day of school this week. So I hope I can start get this english paper finished soon because if I'm not going to sleep well again, I want as much time of bad sleep as possible.
