I <3 the Diva Cup so much. It gets easier to use, I promise. And I would definitely trim the stem. I trimmed mine down to the bottom so it's not poking me all the time. I mean really, if you're reaching in there anyway to grab the stem, why not just grab the whole cup while you're in there and not have a stem poking your innards? Just my two (graphic) cents.
